Moby: Wait for Me

Screen Shots from the film

I'm so excited to share this video with you!  Jelani put this incredible music video together and asked me to do the makeup and hair.  He was so chill-axed and very easy to work with!  Lavenda did the styling and Kate Troedsson is the girl.  I thought Kate was perfect for this role.  The music video has been submitted to be used as the official video Moby will use for this song.  Please vote for it to win (the vote button is to the right just beneath the video)!

Engagement shoot: Pat&Mallory

Pat and Mallory are getting married in August.  They were college sweethearts and have been together for the last four years! So sweet.  These are the some pictures from their engagement shoot this past weekend with Kim+Phil photography.  I met up with Mallory at Pat's house, there I did her hair and makeup.  Her skin was so perfect and she was already so beautiful.  I used colors that she normally uses and she chose how she wanted her hair styled.  I love the end results!

Greater Vancouver Bridal Show

I had a lot of fun this past Saturday meeting future brides at the Greater Vancouver Bridal Show!  The talented and beautiful Misty Damico did a great job of putting the event together.  Kim+Phil were also there presenting a booth.  I'm looking forward to what the rest of the year brings!

Pretty somethings in her hair

Earlier this week, I mentioned hair accessories on brides.  So I thought I'd show you a few that I have caught my attention.  Each one represents a different style and personality.

Jared and I are going to attempt to get our Oregon driver's license on Monday.  If the weather stays nice, we'll probably go exploring some hiking trail too!  I love the outdoors.  Enjoy your weekend!

Hot in Portland!

It is always a joy doing hair and makeup!  Yesterday was no exception.  For this shoot, I played around with some contouring and highlighting around Eryka's beautiful face.  I went heavy on the bottom eyeliner and choose to do no eyeliner on the top lid.  The hair in the top pictures is pinned under to make her appear to have a shorter bob.  For the fashion underwear photographs, inspired by Calvin Klein, her hair was made wavy using a straightening iron.

Working with such great photographers like KIM+PHIL and model Eryka makes it so hard to choose just a few pictures.  So today in the spirit of Chinese New Year, enjoy the eye candy!
